Open Door Foundation aims to provide a positive nursing and caring attitude to caring for a variety of people, Working from an extensive theoretical and practical knowledge base, we can assist / care for a variety of people such as : older adults, elderly psychiatric, persons presenting with mental illness / diagnosis, persons affected by learning disabilities and persons affected from physical disabilities, all within their home surroundings. As well as providing assistance and information to all patients families / relatives or care-givers, in the care of such persons. 

Open Door Foundation specialises in three main aspects of care. These are Older Adults, Mental Health, Learning and Physical Disabilities. 

Open Door Foundation specialises in the ‘Nursing and Promotion of Care of Older Patients (commonly know as gerontological nursing). We specialise in all areas that affect both the functional (physical) and mental health needs of older adults. 

Open Door Foundation is aware that not all nursing / care agencies have such a broad and widespread understanding of older adults. Many such agencies will define such persons as ‘old’. Along with this recognition, often comes the uncomfortable awareness by the patient and family, of other agencies lack of information about the distinctive aspects of nursing care of older adults, especially within a foreign climate.
