Opening doors on the Costa Blanca in Spain to enable you to receive the care you deserve

Legal and moral rights for the individual

Although based on the Costa Blanca in Spain the Open Door Foundation deliberately works within the guidelines and legal structures set by the Mental Health Act 1983, and Code Of Practice 1993. ( United Kingdom).

By working under these legal guidelines, Open Door Foundation believes it can provide, not only a legal and comprehensive service, but raise standards of individual patient care, clarify responsibilities, heighten awareness of patient’s rights, provide effective monitoring of the person with a mental health difficulty.
In doing this support is also provided to the family in coping with mental health problems.

Open Door Foundation works also in accordance with many of the rights and charters set by Mental Health Charities and Organisations.

Open Door Foundation can provide free advice & information on a variety of mental health issues through this website and its forum.

Open Door Foundation acknowledges the associated ‘stigma’ and ‘labelling’ that can be attached to having a ‘mental health diagnosis’ as with many other groups in society.
We continue as a professional foundation to respect and maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, throughout and after your care.
