Who Are We?
The Open Door Foundation” team are a small private
Community Mental Health Support Foundation Service.

Open Door Foundation overall aims are to provide nursing care and support for persons of all ages, particularly the elderly affected by mental health or physical difficulties.
It aims to offer a service which is affordable, timely, reliable, honest, respectful, efficient and effective in maintaining and improving health and quality of life as far as possible in conjunction with other services. 

We are an individual foundation, and not linked to any
specific hospital or G.P. (General Practitioner’s) Service.

 We consist of at present:
Officially Registered Community Psychiatric and Learning Disability Nurses
(UK trained, Spanish registered and recognised)

Fully trained Senior Healthcare Support Workers
(trained in older adult, mental health, learning and physical disabilities).

Fully trained Health and Social Care Administrators

We pride ourselves upon the knowledge and experience we have obtained. All staff have 10 years or more service in their field of caring and nursing, the majority in the UK.

Who we work with?
Open Door Foundation can and does successfully work with other health and social care professionals. We liaise directly with G.P’s*, practice nurses, private physiotherapists – in fact all relevant agencies that are currently involved within that persons care. 

* Note : “Open Door Foundation” will work with Spanish GPs as requested. However, due to the nature of our established and effective CAP care-plan format – specifically designed to meet the needs of older adults – Open Door Foundation would prefer to liaise with English Speaking Medical Practitioners.
A small charge will occur in liaising with Spanish Medical Practitioners, who we find are limited in certain mental health diagnostic procedures.

  Open Door Foundation” also liaises with both voluntary and private sector agencies as well as charitable institutions, that can assist those persons we currently care for.

Where Are We Based?
Open Door Foundation is primarily based on the Costa Blanca from
Javea to Torrevieja and inland up to approx 50km.
 All staff are Community Trained, and as such are used to working within this setting.
